1. What cookies are
Cookies and local storage are small pieces of data a website saves in your browser. Some are needed for a site to work. Others track what you do, often for advertising. We only use the first kind.
2. What we use
| Name | Where | Type | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|---|
vf-consent | Whole site | Essential (local storage) | Remembers the choice you made in the cookie banner, so we don't ask again on every page | 12 months |
wordpress_test_cookie | Blog | Essential | Checks that your browser accepts cookies | Until you close the browser |
comment_author_* | Blog | Optional | Remembers your name and email for next time you comment. Only set if you tick the box under the comment form | 1 year |
wordpress_*, wp-settings-* | Blog admin | Essential | Keeps our own staff signed in. Visitors never get these | Session to 1 year |
The fonts on this site are stored on our own server, so loading a page doesn't send your details to a font service. Links to Facebook or WhatsApp only take you to those services when you click them. Once you're there, their own cookie rules apply.
3. Analytics
We don't run analytics right now. If we add it later, it will stay off until you choose "Allow analytics" in the banner, and we'll list it in the table above.
4. Changing your choice
You can change your choice at any time: . You can also clear cookies and site data in your browser settings. The site works fine either way.
